Official Statement: Combating Human Trafficking and Online Exploitation
[Washington D.C., February 27, 2025 ] – In response to today’s hearing on Protecting Victims of Human Trafficking and Online Exploitation, 3Strands Global Foundation (3SGF) stands united in the fight to safeguard individuals who are vulnerable to this crime. By supporting vital legislation and increasing prevention education on human trafficking in our communities, we can provide justice for survivors and enhance preventive measures. We applaud the bipartisan efforts to ensure survivors receive the support they deserve and that law enforcement has the necessary resources.
Key Legislative Efforts:

GRACIE Act: This bipartisan bill mandates the recording of CPS interviews with children and adults to ensure critical documentation is available for investigations. By improving victim identification, reducing re-traumatization, and strengthening evidence collection, the GRACIE Act is a crucial step in protecting vulnerable children and holding traffickers accountable.

Trafficking Survivor Relief Act (TSRA): The TSRA provides a pathway for survivors of trafficking to vacate certain non-violent criminal convictions and expunge arrest records resulting from their exploitation, allowing them to rebuild their lives without the burden of unjust criminal records.
Today, Anne Basham of Ascend Consulting, Hollie Nadel from the Survivor Advisory Board at 3Strands Global Foundation (3SGF), and CEO Ashlie Bryant of 3SGF joined others in providing powerful testimony to advocate for these critical anti-trafficking bills. It was an impactful day, and we are proud to have contributed to this important discussion.
At 3Strands Global Foundation, we remain committed to prevention education in schools, empowering communities to recognize and stop exploitation. Our programs have educated 1.13 million students, teachers, and community members and provided critical employment and reintegration support to over 1,000 survivors.
