Protect Education Program
At 3Strands Global Foundation, we believe the most powerful way to end human trafficking is to prevent it before it begins.
PROTECT is our survivor-informed prevention education program designed for today’s classrooms and communities. With adaptable, age-appropriate lessons and training, PROTECT equips students, parents/caregivers, and school staff to recognize the signs of exploitation, respond safely, and take action to protect themselves and others.
Who is PROTECT for?
- Students (K–12): Skills-based curriculum tailored to each grade level, with lessons aligned to federal and state guidelines. PROTECT provides age-appropriate lessons that help students build the skills needed to recognize unsafe situations, se
t healthy boundaries, and seek help from trusted a dults -
Training for Educators and Professionals: Educators and school staff participate in foundational training that helps them recognize the signs of human trafficking, respond to student concerns safely, and understand reporting procedures.
- Parents & Caregivers: Prevention education presentations for families. These sessions help families understand current risks facing youth, recognize warni
ng signs of exploitation, and learn practical ways to support their child’s safety both online and in everyday life. By engaging families, schools can strengthen the connection be tween school safety education and support at home.

This PROTECT program is so needed. When we were doing the curriculum, one of the students indicated that someone was trying to engage with her online. This person had asked her questions about where she lived and how old she was. We got that shut down very quickly because we made the right intervention at the right time.”
